چکیده

A significant aspect of the study of quantum strategies is the exploration of the gametheoretic solution concept of theNash equilibrium in relation to the quantization of a game. Pareto optimality is a refinement on the set of Nash equilibria. A refinement on the set of Pareto optimal outcomes is known as social optimality in which the sum of players’ payoffs is maximized. This paper analyzes social optimality in a Bayesian game that uses the setting of generalized Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen experiments for its physical implementation. We show that for the quantum Bayesian game a direct connection appears between the violation of Bell’s inequality and the social optimal outcome of the game and that it attains a superior socially optimal outcome. © 2015 Elsevier B.V. Quantum advice enhances social optimality in three-party conflicting interest games

Quantum pseudo-telepathy games are good examples of explaining the strangeness of quantum mechanics and demonstrating the advantage of quantum resources over classical resources. Most of the quantum pseudo-telepathy games are common interest games, nevertheless conflicting interest games are more widely used to model real world situations. Recently Pappa et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 114, 020401, 20...

Robust Opponent Modeling in Real-Time Strategy Games using Bayesian Networks

Opponent modeling is a key challenge in Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games as the environment is adversarial in these games, and the player cannot predict the future actions of her opponent. Additionally, the environment is partially observable due to the fog of war. In this paper, we propose an opponent model which is robust to the observation noise existing due to the fog of war. In order to cope...

Bayesian Optimum Design Criterion for Multi Models Discrimination

The problem of obtaining the optimum design, which is able to discriminate between several rival models has been considered in this paper. We give an optimality-criterion, using a Bayesian approach. This is an extension of the Bayesian KL-optimality to more than two models. A modification is made to deal with nested models. The proposed Bayesian optimality criterion is a weighted average, where...

Uncertainty measurement with belief entropy on interference effect in Quantum-Like Bayesian Networks

Social dilemmas have been regarded as the essence of evolution game theory, in which the prisoner’s dilemma game is the most famous metaphor for the problem of cooperation. Recent findings revealed people’s behavior violated the Sure Thing Principle in such games. Classic probability methodologies have difficulty explaining the underlying mechanisms of people’s behavior. In this paper, a novel ...

Social Advantage with Mixed Entangled States

It has been extensively shown in past literature that Bayesian Game Theory and Quantum Non-locality have strong ties between them. Pure Entangled States have been used, in both common and conflict interest games, to gain advantageous payoffs, both at the individual and social level. In this paper we construct a game for a Mixed Entangled State such that this state gives higher payoffs than clas...
